Serie A stops for the national break and Torino has to deal with two new problems: in the pits John Simeon and Ivan Ilyich. In an official note, Baroni’s club announced that Simeone stopped after a clash in training. The tests highlighted a myofascial distraction lesion of the muscle rectus femoris of the left thigh. Problems too Ivan Ilyichwho came off in the 38th minute of the England-Serbia match due to a sprain trauma to the left knee. After the match, Serbian coach Veljko Paunovic spoke of a “suspected collateral ligament injury”. Torino’s medical staff is in constant contact with that of the Serbian national team, which is carrying out further checks. For Simeone, however, the prognosis will be defined in the next few days based on the evolution of the clinical picture. Torino risks having to give up two key elements for a few weeks: Cholito, the current top scorer for Granata with 4 goals, and Ilic, who in recent weeks had found continuity and space in midfield.
