Femke Bol reached a very high level in the final on the 400 meter hurdles, but nothing was to be done against the American Sydney McLaughlin. The American smashed her own world record with the sensational 50.68 seconds. ,,I’m really proud of this and think it’s just super cool that she runs so fast,” said Bol.

At 9.15 pm the American national anthem will be played for winner Sydney McLaughlin, on an evening dominated by the Americans. In the 400 meter hurdles, the first, third, fourth and sixth place is occupied by a woman from the United States. Podium place number 2 is for a 22-year-old from Amersfoort. After the silver with the mixed relay team on day one of the tournament, Femke Bol now also has silver in her favorite discipline.
