Just a few days ago a singer Tapio Liinaja70, congratulated his friend’s music actor in his Facebook publication Silu Seppälä In honor of this 71th birthday.

There was never a response – Liinoja, perhaps, perhaps because Seppälä stayed far from Somme. Later, the linen was heard about Seppälä’s death.

– It was quite a surprise, Liinoja tells Iltalehti.

According to Liinoja, they were more acquaintances and colleagues than close friends. According to the singer, Seppälä was not much in contact with anyone, as they did not much from the Lapland Birds band.

– I have no annoyance. Things go as they go. But in the case, he left too early, the singer says.

– I think Silu made a choice for Nasaka as he moved further from Eerikinkatu to Lappeenranta. He was there in the music stuff, but I didn’t see him then, he says.

“In demand”

Liinaja says she first met Seppälä at the Dance Dance Place in the late 1960s, when they were both teenagers.

– There I paid attention to his thread -like being and his long hair. Just the same character as later, the singer says.

He began to meet Seppälä more often at the turn of the 1980s at various events, and especially in the old student house. Their base bar was once a Corona bar on Eerikinkatu.

Liinoja remembers that they probably also had their last encounter at the Corona bar before the corona pandemia. About three years ago, Liinaja was invited by a friend to the Buenos Aires Bar of Eerikinkatu, where Seppälä was at the time. Unfortunately, the cloths could not meet Seppälä and other friends at the time.

Later, Seppälä became a bassist for birds in Lapinlahti for about half a year. At that time, they gigged together. However, according to Liinoja Markku “Mato” Valtonen70, “captured” Seppälä’s Sleepy Sleepers band.

– Silu was very desirable because he was a nice guy, a natural man and a very tough player on top of it.

In addition to hard professionalism, Liina is praised by Seppälä’s sense of humor.

– No surface humor, but situation humor. I think it’s important – whether an artist or not, the singer describes.

– However, he was not a head against the head, but at some point was mostly the quietest of the group. At least when there were a lot of loud people in the birds in Lapland, then Silu took place as a kind of observer, he continues.

Even though they were not heart friends, the cloths are grateful for getting to know Seppälä as much as he knows about him now.
