Sijsele keeps ATM
The location of the town hall is not a coincidence: “It’s a centrally located place,” says the city. There has also long been an ATM in the town hall, in the historic center of Damme.
“Not everyone can handle digital payment methods yet,” says mayor Joachim Coens. “We don’t want to exclude anyone in Damme, which is why we are closing this agreement. We feel strengthened in this by a recent survey by our Senior Advisory Council. This shows that an ATM can be included in the + list of essential services.”
Batopin is an initiative of several major banks. The company manages the joint range of ATMs. Damme now has an agreement with Batopin for nine years, which is also renewable.
