Telstar received a ‘big fine’ from the disciplinary committee of the KNVB because of the disturbances at the end of May after the match against FC Den Bosch. Immediately afterwards, supporters of the two clubs fought each other in the Stadium in Velsen-Zuid. Two people were injured in the fights.

According to the police, Ten Telstar supporters were the first to go to the branch. “Shortly thereafter, spectators of the output also entered the field and a confrontation between the two supporters groups arose,” the police describe. What followed was a big fight. One of the fans was beaten so hard that he went to the ground and had to be helped by ambulance personnel.

“This fight has completely overshadowed the evening for many benevolent supporters. Telstar strongly rejects this behavior and calls it completely unacceptable,” the club says. It is not clear how high the fine is.

In response to the incidents, Telstar has imposed several stadium bans on rioters. “In addition, there are criminal investigations carried out by the police and the Public Prosecution Service.”

FC Den Bosch previously announced that he would investigate who exactly was involved in the fights. Whether sanctions will follow from that club is unclear.
