Significant derby goes to record in Izmir – Breaking News Earthquake

After the earthquake disasters in Kahramanmaraş, 46,358 tickets were sold in the first 5 days by Göztepe and Karşıyaka, which organized a representative derby match with the call of the fans to support the victims of the earthquake. Everyone, from fans to politicians, from companies to artists, showed great interest in the organization of the two clubs, which have not been rivals in professional leagues for years, but united to support earthquake victims and put souvenir tickets on sale with the “TekTribünTekYürek” campaign. Thousands of fans flocked to the virtual match tickets, which were on sale for 50 TL on Passolig’s website.

GÖZTEPE AND KARŞIYAKA CLUBS REQUEST SUPPORT FROM FANS ANNOUNCING THE SALES CONTINUE.

While the two clubs aimed to sell more tickets than the derby match, which was watched by 80,000 people at Izmir Atatürk Stadium in 1981 and the world record was broken in the 2nd League, the two clubs announced that the campaign would continue until 20:00 on Sunday, February 26. In their official statement, Göztepe and Karşıyaka clubs said, “46 thousand 358 tickets have been sold so far in the #TekTribünTekYürek commemorative ticket campaign, which we started to heal the wounds of the 6 February earthquake. In order for the two legendary clubs to break a record in conscience this time, they bought tickets on ‘passo.com.tr’. You can contribute”.
