The number of road deaths in Belgium has fallen by about 7 percent in 2023 compared to 2022. This is stated in the Vias institute’s Road Safety Barometer, based on figures from the Federal Police. Last year, our country suffered 483 road deaths, 37 fewer than the year before. This means that 2023 broke a record low, if the period during the Covid 19 pandemic is not taken into account.
