US President Donald Trump has now given several little credible explanations for a number of reports on his former friendship with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Today Trump brought a new explanation for a report by the Wall Street Journal, according to which he is said to have written Epstein in 2003 a suggestive birthday letter. Someone fake his signature.
During a conversation with reporters in front of the White House, Trump was asked if he continued to dispute the alleged letter. This is said to have been in a book with similar congratulations letters that had been presented by friends for his 50th birthday of friends.
“I don’t even know what they’re talking about,” said the president. “It could be that someone wrote a letter and used my name. But that has happened many times.”
“Fake and not existing”
According to the report of the “Journal”, Trump’s suggestive letter to Epstein contained a poem that they “have certain things in common”. In the letter, Epstein was referred to as “buddy”. And it said in it: “Happy birthday. And every day may there be another wonderful secret.”
Trump has already filed a lawsuit against the “Journal” and his reporters, in which he claims that the letter does not exist at all. He is “fake and does not exist”. A lawyer of the victims of Epstein said on Wednesday that the estate of Epstein was owned by a copy of the book with the birthday notes. According to the lawyer, the congress could request this.
Trump took the opportunity to complain about a “dossier” created by the Democrats. “Everything is fake in this administration,” said Trump. What he probably meant the Obama government and the so-called Steele dossier. A controversial collection of unoccupied rumors about Trump and Russia from 2016. “Everything is fake at the Democrats. Take a look at what they just found out about the dossier. Really. Everything is fake.”
“I had nothing to do with the guy”
In the same conversation with the press, Trump complained that the media should focus more on “Larry Summers – by Harvard – Bill Clinton” and others who were close friends of him during Epstein’s time in the New York High. “I had nothing to do with the guy,” added Trump.
Of course, Trump knew Epstein well. In addition to the alleged birthday letter, he was regularly photographed with him and his sophisticated partner. The convicted human dealer Ghislaine Maxwell.
“I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. A great guy,” said Trump in 2002. “He is very entertaining. It is even said that he loves beautiful women as much as I do – and many of them are rather young. No doubt – Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”
According to a report by the “New York Times” on Thursday, the birthday letter was not the only time that Trump recorded his admiration for Epstein in writing.
“Jeff – you are the biggest!”, Trump wrote in an edition of his book “Trump: The Art of the Comeback”.
