Laura Siegmund’s sensational run in Wimbledon continues. The 37-year-old German also won her round of 16 against Argentine Solana Sierra 6-3, 6-2 and is for the first time in her career in the quarterfinals of the individual competition at the lawn classic. Siegemund could not be stopped by two rain breaks and came into play better and better after initial problems. Sierra hardly had any answers to the variable game of the Germans and had to give up.
