During his last performance this year, the rapper used his tone a few times.

At his annual Christmas concert in Berlin’s Columbiahalle, things seemed to have gotten out of hand for rapper Sido. He insulted a twelve-year-old girl on stage, announced to his fans that he was single again and in the same breath offered himself to his female fans as a partner – just weeks after the birth of his child with Georgina Stumpf.

Sido – “a bit kloppi”?

Sido caused a lot of criticism online with his behavior at his end-of-year show on December 22nd. The rapper, whose daughter was born at the beginning of December, broadcast his show live on YouTube. Including all the embarrassments, as users found.

Part of the show was an appearance by a young fan. The twelve-year-old girl was supposed to sing the Christmas carol “The Snow Is Quietly Falling”. Sido made several disparaging comments about her performance. He initially described the girl as “a bit kloppi” before later denying her the promised gift and instead suggesting that she pick up two items from the merch stand. He even went further: she sang “shitty” – the audience did much better.

His comments sparked outrage on social media. On Reddit, users commented in horror: “Shame on you, Sido! And apologize if you have any decency” and also “this is really difficult to watch, incredibly embarrassing action. Especially in times when everything is shared on social media – to behave like that towards a child is disgusting.”

An offer you can refuse

In addition to this incident, a surprising comment from Sido about his current relationship status with girlfriend Gerogina Stumpf caused a stir. During the event, the “Mein Block” rapper explained: “By the way, I’m single, if anyone wants to take that up as an offer.” A remarkable statement after the birth of his daughter at the beginning of December. However, when publicly looking for a partner, he immediately made it clear: “There is now a new child at home with me. I have a lot to do right now and have to take care of my little daughter.”
