Great condolences in the world of Italian volleyball for the sudden disappearance, at just 52 years old, by Barbara Siciliano. The former Azzurra passed away in Lavagna, Liguria, where she was on vacation due to a heart crisis that was fatal.

Led athlete of the Italian Volley who has repeatedly dressed the blue shirt (39 total appearances) also participating in the 1994 World Cup. Originally from Sanremo for years he was an athlete symbol of Modena, always fighting at the top of our A-1. He also dressed the jerseys of Altamura, Bergamo, Spezzano, Reggio Emilia and Chieri. He closed his career in B-1 with several teams from Lombardy. Only last March, Barbara Siciliano was one of the many players present at the Choruslife Arena in Bergamo to pay homage to the return to a city building of the rossoblù formation, engaged in the quarterfinals of the Scudetto playoffs. He had lived in Milan for some time, where his two daughters, born from the marriage with a Milanese lawyer, play today in the Pro Patria.
