Shownieuws star Bart Ettekoven stuns his colleagues with the revelation that he uses botox. “That didn’t work out then”, sneezes his colleague Ellemieke Vermolen, somewhat viciously.
Bart Ettekoven is already fifty years old and to impress his friend Dennis nine years younger and his TV viewers, he regularly visits the botox doctor. When asked whether he is pure nature, he answers at the Shownieuws desk: “No! No no no.”
On the botox
Colleague Ellemieke Vermolen is surprised. “What did you have done then?”
Bart initially hesitates to give an honest answer. “My teeth,” he says. To add: “And the occasional little botox.”
Natacha Harlequin can’t believe her ears. “Where?!?!”
Bart: “Here! For the frown!”
‘It didn’t work then!’
Ellemieke takes another good look and remarks in surprise: “That didn’t work then.”
Bart: “No, but it also has to be a bit natural. Otherwise it is even deeper!”
Ellemieke: “Gee, really?!”
Natacha: “How vain you are, unbelievable.”
Bart: “No, you are not happy!”
Fear
Natacha herself does not dare to use botox. “Do you know what it is? I am full of admiration, but I just don’t dare do all this, because what if you come out with such a head? It’s just fear!”
Ellemieke: “There is a lot that goes wrong with Botox. I’m much more scared there. For example, you can get a droopy eye.”
Bart: “It’s very unfair anyway, because people of color have a much better…”
Natacha: “I want to say something about that! It really is… In my family the skin is just tight, so I have that too. That’s not a credit, it just is.”

However, Natacha does not have everything. “I have other things, don’t I? I don’t have to eat a lot of sausage rolls again.”
Ellemieke also uses botox. “I’ve always used botox on my forehead, but I’m not really a fan of it because I don’t know what it’s going to do in the long run. It’s poison what you inject.”
