«PEr a woman is not elegant to talk about money. Unfortunately this is called patriarchy ». So he spoke “thecynical beautician”, AT THE CRISTINA FOGAZZI, Influencer and owner of a well -known cosmetics brand, letting you understand that they have put aside an indecubable fortune.
But why would Patriarchate prevent us women from boasting wealth? Cristina does not explain it. But the term “elegance”, she used, seems to allude to a matter of opportunity: an explicitly wealthy woman would not be well seen. From the men, of course, given that the entrepreneur cites the patriarchate.
I have no personal experiences about it, therefore I draw on the fiction. AND Chiara Ferragni comes to mind: An empire built on the image, “slipped” on the inappropriate use of the same. The digital entrepreneur never hidden the proceeds of his business when he was on the wave of success. Would he have been less criticized if he had used more discretion? In short, has Ferragni also paid for having shown themselves prosperous?

Perhaps the cynical beautician had this parable in mind when he enunciated his theory. But in my opinion his is an error of perspective: to flaunt opulence has always been a socially condemned gesture, regardless of those who put it in place. Except that in the era of social networks this recruitment has gained a public limelight that is difficult to ignore. The multiplier effect of the network applies to successes as for failures.

To avoid envy, therefore, it would be sufficient to adopt a little confidentiality. However, today a success does not exist if it is not made public. Thus, the mania of dissimulation, proper to the greats rich in the past, has turned into its exact opposite: “Monster wealth, therefore I am rich”.
And that the appearance is now demonstrated by the latest fashion among those who are wealthy are not: “rented” some status symbols to be exhibited in a selfie. We are at the ostentation of what you don’t have and is not. And therefore the patriarchy has nothing to do with it. Choosing whether and what to show, dear Cristina, after all is only a matter of self -esteem.
