Is it RTL Boulevard or SBS Show news? A former employee of one of those show sections claps in the AD from the school about the rather sick culture in the workplace. “It’s ass licking.”
RTL Boulevard used to be regularly under fire for protecting colleagues, especially the Humberto Tan affair: where every show medium had long and widely talked about his adventures outside the marital home, Boulevard kept it undisclosed for as long as possible. And nowadays Shownieuws is often under fire.

The Shownieuws experts sometimes seem to be mainly there to serve the interests of friends, colleagues and the boss. Think of Anouk Smulders who makes the victim of good friend Marco Borsato suspicious or Bram Moszkowicz who stands up for Lil ‘Kleine, the rapper who keeps his lover and his son at work.
Now a former employee of one of those show sections in the AD is clapping out of the school about the rather sick culture in the workplace. Last weekend the newspaper ran with the article ‘Misconduct in the TV world on an even larger scale: the frayed edges of the Gooise Matras‘, which also points out the alleged aggressiveness of John de Mol.

A woman who until about seven years ago worked for an entertainment section – this is of course RTL Boulevard or Shownieuws – speaks in this article of a culture of ‘ass licking’.

The former editorial member says that the ‘mutual cunning’ had an influence on the content of the program. “When other media reported about the marital problems of that presenter/prankster, we were not allowed to do anything with it because of the situation with the editor-in-chief.”
