It’s like always: If a talent plays well, FC Bayern has the ball and would ideally like to bring the player straight to Munich. At least when he dribbles like Saïd El Mala in Cologne. It’s really impressive how the 19-year-old is playing in his first Bundesliga season. That’s why it’s the record champions’ duty to take action next summer. Bayern cannot risk letting such a super talent be snatched away. And El Mala, in turn, has to consider such a change.

Bayern’s danger: There are said to be several top international clubs in addition to the Munich team who are interested in El Mala. Bayern absolutely want to prevent a scenario like last summer, when national and dream players Florian Wirtz and Nick Woltemade ended up moving to England instead of Munich.

Sure, the league leaders already have enough players on the offensive, even really good ones. But Serge Gnabry’s contract has not yet been extended. If he were to leave, a position would already be available. Saïd El Mala could take this and develop behind absolute world-class players like Jamal Musiala, Michael Olise and Luis Díaz. Just like Lennart Karl is currently doing. With coach Vincent Kompany, El Mala would also have a trainer who would carefully build up the winger.

Another important thing from Bayern’s point of view: They will try to make initial approaches before the World Cup. If Saïd El Mala really went to the World Cup, that would further increase his market value. Having a yes vote before the big tournament would let Bayern sleep easier. And perhaps even help El Mala to achieve even better performances and possibly reach a World Cup heights.
