Shot putter Schilder shows early form and is allowed to go to the indoor World Cup

Jessica Schilder has today hit the limit for the upcoming World Indoor Championships in Kladno, Czech Republic. The Volendam shot the bullet to 18 meters and 43 centimeters.

Painter eventually finished on the podium thanks to her furthest throw. Sara Gambetta from Germany (18.53 meters) came in second. The gold went to the Swedish Fanny Roos with a distance of 18 meters and 74 centimeters.

Because Schilder met the limit, she qualified for both the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade (18 to 20 March), and the European Outdoor Championships in Munich (15 to 21 August).
