The most important game of the season so far is on the agenda for FC Bayern on Wednesday, in the semi-final second leg of the Champions League against defending champions Paris Saint-Germain. The Munich team lost the first comparison 4:5. As has now been announced, the club is planning a special premiere on the largest possible stage in club football.
As FC Bayern officially confirmed on Monday morning, coach Vincent Kompany’s team will wear the new home jersey for the first time in the second leg against PSG.
The Munich team sees their “heroes” in the new shirts “ready for one of those nights that last,” said a club statement. The home kit for the 2026/2027 season stands for everything “that defines the club: self-confidence, charisma and an absolute winning mentality. In powerful red and white, the new home jersey combines tradition with a modern, striking appearance – made for big moments.”
Special: In order to “specially honor” winning this year’s championship, there is for the first time “the legendary cockatoo” as a so-called chest badge – “a symbol with special meaning” for the team.
There is a striking detail on the back of the jersey: there is no longer the full club name “FC Bayern Munich” above the player number, but only “FC Bayern”. The name of the city will be deleted without replacement.
The Bayern women will present the new home jersey on May 9th in the last Bundesliga home game of the season at the Munich campus against Eintracht Frankfurt.
FC Bayern is targeting a triple
In the coming weeks, FC Bayern will focus on “Mission Triple”. After winning the championship trophy, the club also reached the final of the DFB Cup, where they face VfB Stuttgart.
The first priority is the second leg against Paris. The Ultras have already mobilized for the showdown and asked the remaining fans to come to the stadium in red.
Some FC Bayern supporters will probably be wearing the new home shirt.
