Leverkusen striker
Emrehan Gedikli will soon be leaving Bayer 04 Leverkusen for Turkey. Like the “foosball” reported, the 18-year-old center forward is about to move to Trabzonspor. The completion report is expected for Monday. Gedikli sees little chance of playing time with the “Werkself” because of the high level of competition on the offensive.
According to the magazine, around 900,000 euros should flow for Gedikli. The youngster recently extended his contract in Leverkusen by a year until June 2023 on January 19. “Emrehan is a good player in the penalty area who struggled with a few minor injuries in the first half of the season. But its development is promising. Now it will be important that he gets match practice at the highest possible level,” said sporting director Simon Rolfes in the course of the announcement.
Gedikli has not played for the pros this season, but showed his qualities in the U19s. The 1.87 meter tall right footer scored 13 goals in eight games across all competitions. With the rumored transfer fee, Gedikli becomes the third most expensive U19 departure in the club’s history after the leaders Marian Sarr (2013 at the age of 17 for BVB for 1.5 million euros) and Samed Yesil (2012 at the age of 18 for 1.3 million euros to Liverpool) . Gedikli can move to the Süper Lig until February 8 because of the open transfer window in Turkey.
