Spend 1,000 euros in just 80 seconds: What sounds like a dream becomes reality at The Style Outlets in Halle Leipzig. The 80 Second Shopping Challenge will take place for the first time as part of the 80s Party on Thursday, February 5th. One person gets the unique chance to shop against the clock at participating stores such as Villeroy & Boch, Puma, RÖSLE and Marc O’Polo and put as many favorite items as possible in their shopping basket.
This is how the shopping challenge works
Entertainers in iconic 80s outfits will parade through the center on February 5th from around 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and hand out raffle tickets. Visitors aged 18 and over will receive a ticket upon presentation of their vouchers for a purchase value of 150 euros or more.
Things get exciting at 5:30 p.m.: the winner will be drawn centrally in the main entrance area. The big countdown starts at 6 p.m. The person selected has exactly 80 seconds to make purchases at participating stores for up to 1,000 euros. Quick decisions are required because every second counts.
80s party with 80 percent discount
The Shopping Challenge is the highlight of the popular 80s party that takes place in the center. In keeping with the motto, participating brands are offering an 80 percent discount on selected items all day long. A perfect opportunity to save big on favorite brands. There is also a cocktail bar where you can relax and provide refreshment for a voluntary donation, with all proceeds going to a charitable cause.
Robin Lippold, Center Manager of the Halle Leipzig The Style Outlets, says: “The 80s Party is now one of the most popular events in our annual calendar. This year we are going one better with the Shopping Challenge. Being able to shop for 1,000 euros in just 80 seconds is a unique opportunity. We are looking forward to an exciting day and are excited to see how our winner masters this challenge.”
