By leaving his own tracks, a shoplifter in Roosendaal was arrested by the police. There was a suspicion that the man had stolen things from a wholesaler. When he was arrested outside the act, it turned out that the man was fined a few days earlier for dumping waste. And it is precisely those garbage bags that the police led to the man’s house.
In the wholesaler, things were stolen for a few hundred euros. After research, the company ended up with the man as a suspect. The owner called the police, after which the public prosecutor gave permission to keep the man out of the act.
Coincidentally, one of the agents had recently fined this man for dumping waste. In the pockets they found labels with address details of the man, but also a day pass from the same wholesaler as where the goods were stolen.

That find was not enough for persecution, but it was added to the file with evidence. The police then looked at camera images, heard witnesses and did digital investigation.
The police finally decided to search the suspect’s house and the stolen things were found there.
The things are now back to the wholesaler and the man must appear in court.
