According to the mayor, stakeholders of both the church community and the care farm are very willing to offer refugees shelter. “It is heartwarming that the society of Borger-Odoorn is thinking so hospitably about places to offer refugees shelter. Volunteers from the Protestant church community have been busy for several weeks cleaning and furnishing the church building. very happy with the range of Het Kleurpalet”, says Seton with pleasure.

Residents of Nieuw-Buinen and the immediate environment who have questions about the reception of the refugees can ask questions about this during a meeting in the multifunctional accommodation in the village. It will take place on Tuesday evening, April 26 at 7 p.m. Both Seton and alderman Nynke Houwing are present.
