Pink said in an interview on Wednesday (February 22) that Madonna doesn’t like her. She spoke to Howard Stern on his radio show “SiriusXM” about, among other things, her new album TRUSTFALL, touring life – and why her relationship with the “Queen of Pop” is not the best.
The reason for this was an appearance on the talk show Live with Regis and Kelly, where Pink was asked if she was excited to meet Madonna. Pink reacted jokingly to the question, to Madonna’s displeasure – since the reverse was true: Madonna had invited her.
“It’s such a stupid story,” she explained. “I love Madonna and I love her – no matter what happened, I still love her. She was a huge inspiration to me, but the facts were twisted a bit: that I’m a groupie and really want to meet her, when in fact she invited me to her dressing room. So I was telling a joke when Regis brought me out and asked how it felt to meet her and that he heard I fell. And then I was like, ‘I thought SHE wants to meet ME’. Somehow the joke didn’t catch fire.”
TRUSTFALL was released on February 17th and is the pop star’s 9th studio album. In the summer she goes on tour with it and plays between June 28 and July 13 in Berlin, Vienna, Munich, Cologne and Hanover. The exact dates and tickets are available here.
