Not a pleasant PR start for Roos Moggré: her presentation debut at Pauw & De Wit was criticized by the better-watched competitor Today Inside. “She did very poorly,” it sounds.
Roos Moggré can be seen this and next week as a substitute presenter at Pauw & De Wit, but cannot count on approval from the SBS 6 camp. After News of the Day face Victor Vlam, Today Inside star Johan Derksen has also spoken negatively about her performance as a talk show host. He really doesn’t like her at all.
‘She can’t!’
According to Johan, it is a huge disappointment. “I think Roos Moggré is a good guest at talk show tables. He can formulate well, but I keep catching people from TV that they have an obsession with: the ultimate goal is a talk show,” he says in Today Inside.
He continues: “That girl had an excellent job and she quit to fill in for Pauw & De Wit, and I’m sorry for her: she did a really bad job.”
No direction
What does Johan not like about Roos? “I thought she did a bad job. She was not in control for a moment. She was desperately busy with her notes on the table and she let that idiot of a lawyer who let those two Muslim women go all out and who were allowed to say that those officers had made racist comments…”
Colleague René van der Gijp: “I thought it was a bit too, but I thought to myself: I’ll watch it a few more times. Of course it is true: it will be made bigger than it is anyway. She will do it for two weeks and it has been going on all week. Then she was interviewed in the studio again and so on. I think: there is pressure, the girl is nervous.”
Stuttering
How did René see that Roos was nervous? “You could see that a bit because she was working with those pieces of paper.”
Wilfred Genee: “She started off quite well, then she became a bit nervous, then she started stuttering more and she was searching for something.”
Johan: “I found it a bit embarrassing to keep looking at her. I didn’t like seeing that, because I saw her sweating at the table.”
Nice woman
René thinks Roos looks good. “Yes, but it is a nice appearance.”
Johan: “No, I have nothing against that woman. She is indeed a nice woman.”
René: “I also think the difference between Tim de Wit and Jeroen Pauw is very big.”
Johan concludes: “Yes, but he stands head and shoulders above everything.”
