Millions in transfer to Vasco da Gama

After Palmeiras youngster Kevin (21), Shakhtar Donetsk secured the next talent from Brazil in the winter and again paid a transfer fee of reportedly 12 million euros. Midfielder Marlon Gomes (20) comes from Vasco da Gama and signed a contract until 2029.
Marlon Gomes is not only the 41st Brazilian that Shakhtar has brought into the Ukrainian league since 2002, but he also finds himself largely among compatriots in the ranking of the club’s most expensive winter purchases. Manor Solomon, who arrived from Israel in 2018, is the only non-Brazilian in Shakhtar’s top 10 in the January transfer window. Only two winter transfers were more expensive than Marlon Gomes.
