Severe thunderstorms in the Allgäu – partly thick layer of hail

LINDAU/KEMPTEN (dpa-AFX) – There were heavy thunderstorms and strong winds in the Allgu on Pentecost Sunday. There were sometimes heavy hailstorms, the police said. In some places in the Lindau district it looked as if it had snowed: streets and squares were covered by a thick layer of white hail, and a wheel loader, among other things, was used to clear it.
