Seth MacFarlane, the creator of “Family Guy”, releases a new album that contains never heard arrangements by Frank Sinatra. The album entitled “Lush Life: The Lost Sinatra Arrangements” comprises 12 previously unobstructed pieces that MacFarlane discovered in the huge musical collection of Sinatra. This was possible after Sinatra’s daughter Tina gave him access to her father’s library.
The album will be released on June 6th and represents a collection of arrangements that Sinatra wrote on the body by his long -standing musical partners Nelson Riddle, Billy May and Don Costa. MacFarlane recorded the new versions in the Skywalker Sound Studios from George Lucas in California. He worked with a 70-member orchestra under the direction of British conductor John Wilson.
Sinatra’s love for musical arrangements
What differ from other artists of his time, MacFarlane explained in a conversation with “Variety”: “What is especially about what this is [Arrangeure] have done, and what is unique about Sinatra is that with the exception of Nat King Cole there was probably no other singer from this era who understood the importance of arrangement as well as Sinatra, ”said the“ Family Guy ”creator.
