Dfter more than thirty years since its debut on TV, a new edition of is back on Canale 5 tonight Jokes aside. Lorella Cuccarini, Gabriel Garko, Isobel Kinnear, Paolo Conticini, Francesca Barra and Gilles Rocca today will be the first to see the pranks of which they were victims. Max Giusti is making his debut as host of Jokes asidewhich this year is completely renovated. Mediaset chose him to relaunch a historic title that had been stagnant for three years: the last two editions of the program were broadcast in the autumn of 2021 and then in 2022, with Enrico Papi hosting. Jokes aside will occupy four prime time slots, in each of which Max Giusti introduces the jokes in the studio with tailor-made monologues. What’s new in this new edition
The narrator of the jokes for the first time is that of Melina Martellovoice actress and dubbing director. The audience can recognize it because she was the Italian voice of Diane Keaton in numerous films. She was the winner of the 2004 Leggio d’Oro award for dubbing Everything can happen. The theme song, however, bears the signature of Planet Funk, while the direction, as for the fourth time and for the third consecutive edition, is by Roberto Cenci.
Technology at the service of jokes
«Technology has helped us a lot: today you can put micro cameras everywhere without anyone noticing. But above all, the writing of jokes has grown: sThey are more original, more refined, more rhythmic”, said Max Giusti to Adnkronos.
The public today is more astute and has a lower attention span. «I tried to anticipate the remote control: there isn’t a moment when something doesn’t happen. No downtime, I wanted a continuous flow. Now we watch videos on social media: you see something for 15 seconds with partial attention, then you get bored and change.” The jokes? «Sometimes we were nastier, other times more delicate, but no one was mistreated. Gabriel Garko: He was terrified. We have reconstructed a mini-horror, but as soon as we saw that he was too scared we said enough.”
