A serious accident occurred this afternoon on the road between Laar and Emlichheim (B403) across the border in Germany. Three vehicles are involved. A Dutch motorist was killed in the accident.
The accident happened around 1:15 p.m. German firefighters started CPR when they arrived on the scene, but assistance was to no avail. A victim from the Netherlands died on the spot from his injuries.
Another person was seriously injured and transported to hospital by air ambulance. A total of six people were involved in the accident. The condition of the other people involved has not been released at this time.
The German police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
