Italy’s soccer champions Inter Milan have to fear for the lead in the table.

The newly crowned Supercup winner did not get more than 0-0 in Serie A at Atalanta Bergamo and now has 50 points – local rival AC (48) wins against Spezia Calcio on Monday and is first place away. However, Inter still have a game up their sleeve.

Behind Milan are SSC Naples (43), Bergamo (42) and record champions Juventus Turin (41), who continued to catch up. The “old lady” defeated Udinese Calcio 2-0 (1-0) on Saturday evening and secured fifth place in the table. Juve have gone eight games unbeaten after a false start to the season and have won six during the run.

Paulo Dybala (19th) and ex-Schalke player Weston McKennie (79th) scored the goals for Turin. The gap to Inter, who beat cup winners Juve in the Supercup during the week, is nine points.
