The results of the 16th matchday: Juve Next Gen and Atalanta U23 win, while Inter U23 draws against Pro Vercelli

Pietro Scognamiglio

November 30 – 11.24pm – MILAN

14 matches on Sunday, awaiting a super Monday with very interesting postponements. Here’s what happened.

GROUP A

It’s a double-digit escape from Vicenza, already winter champions: at Menti (nine wins out of nine) Lecco also falls thanks to Stückler’s header, assisted by Tribuzzi. However Cittadella-Brescia ends up, the big match on Monday evening, Fabio Gallo’s team will have at least a 10 point advantage over second place (those over Lecco are now 12). In fifth place is Alcione, who returns to success by regulating Trento with two goals in the second half. While waiting for Wednesday’s recovery on the Dolomiti Bellunesi pitch (which meanwhile draws 0-0 with Giana), Inter U23 goes behind against Pro Vercelli but then reacts by taking a point thanks to El Bouchataoui’s own goal.

GROUP B

Without suffering the backlash for the three points lost after the exclusion of Rimini, Arezzo remains on track and overcomes Sambenedettese thanks to Pattarello’s coolness from the spot (by the way, the former Rimini player D’Alesio is the favorite to replace Palladini on the Samb bench, after Mancinelli’s interim today). In the upper playoff zone, Guidonia’s run resumes, placing the shot against Terni and shaking Liverani’s bench: it all happens in the first half, a decisive example favored by an error by goalkeeper D’Alterio. Carpi also climbs to 24 points: the victory in Pontedera comes in the 96th minute with the overhead kick from the former Pietra (after the final whistle, two expulsions in a turmoil linked to Fvs’ failure to review the goal). At the third Umbrian opponent faced in eight days, Juventus Next Gen smiles by overcoming Perugia thanks to the flash of Puczka (on the other side, first defeat of the Tedesco management after six useful results). The substitute Bifulco, from the penalty spot at the last gasp, avoids Campobasso’s home defeat against Pianese (third goal in the last two games for Bellini). Vis Pesaro-Ascoli tomorrow.

GROUP C

Everything happens at the Zaccheria (in front of less than 500 spectators), where Foggia regains success after three months: but it’s Cosenza who eats their hands, with two penalties missed by Garritano (both conceded after Fvs review, the first high, the second saved by Perucchini) before conceding the decisive goal from Winkelmann at the end of the very long injury time. The regenerated Potenza arrive with conviction in the playoff zone (3-1 against Casarano, a brace from Selleri and three assists from an excellent Schimmenti) and Cerignola who win in Latina thanks to two penalties from Gambale and Emmausso. Atalanta U23 is back in action: while awaiting recovery on the Casertana pitch (Wednesday 3 December), Bocchetti’s boys overturn Siracusa, dragged into the second half by Misitano’s excellent entry. Moving forward with Fischnaller’s ninth goal, Trapani were joined by Monopoli (penalty converted by former Maguette Fall) who also came close to scoring with the crossbar hit by Tirelli. Benevento-Salernitana tomorrow.
