Monopoli flies, 1-1 in the big match between Ternana and Entella. Rossoneri defeated by Vis Pesaro
Of the 12 matches included in the program for the last Sunday of the first round, one is missing: the match in Group A between AlbinoLeffe and Virtus Verona was postponed due to fog and will resume today in Zanica. Here’s everything that happened.
GROUP A
—
Three draws in the three games played. The cover is taken by the 1-1 draw between Feralpisalò and Arzignano: the guests break the balance with a goal from midfield by Lunghi, freely inspired by the decisive one by Che Adams in Empoli-Turin; the afternoon seemed to be haunted for Aimo Diana’s team when Di Molfetta had a possible equalizer saved by Boseggia, but Feralpisalò managed to put them back on their feet with Pilati once the time had expired.
In the playout area, 1-1 between Pro Patria and Pergolettese: guests ahead in the first action with Basili, equalized within a few minutes by Bashi for a Pro team that can regret having missed the penalty for the possible overtaking with Pitou (third team error from the spot on five attempts, with three different shooters). The 2-2 draw between Caldiero and Clodiense was of little use to both: Cazzadori’s brace overturns Biondi’s initial lead, but Clodiense – who will host Padova in injury time on Wednesday 18 December at 8.30pm – catches it again with Serena.
GROUP B

Liberati’s big match between Ternana and Entella ends in a draw (1-1), with Pescara smiling from afar for having defended the winter title (and the next one, at the Adriatico, Abate’s team will arrive): a goal by Cianci was canceled for offside after 2′, Ternana found themselves with ten men already in the 23rd minute due to the expulsion of goalkeeper Vannucchi and shortly after the half hour they were put through by Guiu; despite the numerical inferiority, however, the equalizer came at the end with Aloi’s header following a cross from Martella.
Torres didn’t take advantage of it, drawing 0-0 at home against Lucchese and unable to catch up on the top three in the standings. The Sassari team, among other things, find themselves overtaken in fourth place by Vis Pesaro who are traveling at very high speed (four victories in a row) and also get the better of Milan Futuro (2-1, Rossoneri weakened by “loans” to the first team ): Okoro’s advantage for the Marches is spoiled by an unsanctioned shot by Paganini on goalkeeper Nava, Samuele Longo finds the equalizer, but Cannavò resolves it in the final by hitting the seven.
In Arezzo’s 4-2 defeat of Pianese, Emiliano Pattarello shines: in fact, all four amaranth goals were scored by the Venetian striker, which makes Formisano’s debut on the guest bench bitter (Mignani’s brace was useless). Another brace, that of Italeng (eight goals in the championship), slowed down Perugia’s run in Pontedera (2-1), who had come from seven points in three games and only managed to halve the deficit with Montevago midway through the second half. Gaetano Fontana’s adventure on the Gubbio bench begins with a draw: Tommasini scored the 1-1 draw with Spal in the 95th minute, Arena having broken the deadlock in the first half.
GROUP C

Monopoli are flying high, climbing to just two points from the top after the clear 4-0 that sweeps away Taranto: Grandolfo scored (fourth goal in five games), Bruschi with a brace (a goal from a penalty, by himself procured) and the former Brescia Pace. At this point, Taranto’s situation is increasingly complicated: the closing for the company’s sale seems to have been lost and the players’ bus, upon returning to the city, was greeted by the throwing of a few stones (fortunately without consequences). . Meanwhile, Foggia’s rise continues, overcoming Picerno (1-0) thanks to Parodi’s header from a corner and achieving their sixth useful result in as many matches under Zauri’s management.
