Leaders of group B defeated at home, the Marches take advantage, not Ravenna who slow down with Pianese. Three golden points for Torres in the playout key, Juve Next Gen wins
After Vicenza in group A, the leaders of group B also stumbled in midweek. It was a bad evening for Arezzo, who hadn’t lost in 11 games (and at home for over 5 months) and fell against Liverani’s Ternana: substitute Dubickas headed the ball following a corner development, after the great former player Cianci had replied to Ferrante’s first opener. Ascoli took advantage of the slip, now 4 from the top (but with a rest period still to be observed): in the highly anticipated derby, which returned to San Benedetto after 40 years, Tomei’s team achieved a golden success thanks to the rediscovered Corazza who stamped as soon as he came off the bench (with Samb with 10 men due to Dalmazzi’s expulsion). Ascoli thus isolates itself in second place and gains two points on Ravenna – Del Duca’s next opponent -, held back at 0-0 by Pianese.

After two defeats, Juventus Next Gen restarts, passing narrowly on the Pontedera field, last in the class: a diagonal shot from Deme is enough for the Bianconeri shortly after the half hour mark (the Tuscans complain about a penalty initially awarded, then canceled by FVS, due to a contact between Van Aarle and Vitali). Lots of emotion between Pineto and Forlì: the Abruzzo team went ahead by two and were then caught up again, but found the decisive breakthrough after the 90th minute thanks to substitute Nebuloso (second win in a row for Tisci). Second success in a row for Mimmo Di Carlo’s Gubbio: Carpi passed by Varone’s header and by Saber from a free kick, Lombardi shortens too late. Vis Pesaro smiles again, beating Bra as time expires: Nicastro (who hadn’t scored since October) solves the problem with a headed assist from Jallow, a dynamic that makes the guests protest for a possible foul on the goalkeeper by the Gambian. A full 158 days after the last time, Torres managed to get out of the playout zone by overcoming Guidonia (who hadn’t won since November 30th and had to deal with Cristini’s expulsion in the 35th minute): a goal in each half from Sorrentino and Mastinu, Zuppel’s penalty wasn’t enough for the guests. Salvation blow for Perugia, who won in Livorno and strengthened Giovanni Tedesco’s bench: Montevago and Bacchin scored, Dionisi came in and shortened the penalty when it was too late.
