Four referrals from the FIGC Prosecutor’s Office arrived on the afternoon of the last day of the year, which could still affect the Serie C rankings. Upon reporting from Covisoc, Novara (group A), Rimini were sent to trial for administrative violations of various kinds (group B), Taranto and Turris (group C). For the latter two, repeat offenders as they had already been penalized by ten and five points respectively, the warning was in the air. The clubs will have to answer in the first instance before the National Federal Court, usually as early as January. The risk is a two-point penalty for Novara and Rimini, at least six for Taranto and Turris.

in detail

Novara is accused of failing to pay part of the INPS contributions for June and July 2023 by the deadline of 16 December, which was the subject of an extension plan first granted and then revoked by the same social security institution. Rimini is accused of failing to pay the emoluments in favor of members for the two-month period September-October 2024 by the deadline of 16 December. The same deadline was also not respected by Taranto and Turris, defaulting (again for September and October) on salaries , Irpef withholdings and INPS contributions. In the case of Taranto, the failure to pay two installments of the repayment plan granted by the INPS for the period July 2021-February 2023 is also contested.
