The Tuscan derby belongs to Pisa. At the Arena Garibaldi, Inzaghi’s team beat Carrarese 2-1 in the postponement of the 21st matchday of the championship: Canestrelli broke the deadlock, Finotto equalized the score in the second half. Then in the 87th minute Bleve and Illanes made a mistake following a corner, captain Caracciolo took advantage of it and gave his team the victory. The Nerazzurri achieved their third success in a row and returned to -3 behind leaders Sassuolo. Spezia is now seven points behind. Calabro’s team stops after five consecutive useful results.

Pisa advantage

The first chance of the derby belongs to the guests. Canestrelli risks a lot, the defender misses the back pass to his goalkeeper: Finotto steals the ball and tries the shot. Semper, however, deflects into a corner. Inzaghi’s team reacts with Piccinini’s conclusion and in the 22nd minute they also find the opening goal. On Angori’s corner, Canestrelli jumps higher than anyone and sends the ball under the crossbar. The class of 2000 makes amends like this, then runs to celebrate under the curve. It is the third league goal for him. In the 38th minute Carrarese tries to show up in front, again with Finotto, Semper is very attentive. Before the break Tramoni ate the 2-0 lead on the counterattack, Bleve was not surprised.

caracciolo solves it

Caracciolo solves it – The recovery begins at a slower pace. In the 52nd minute Cicconi frees himself in the area, Calabresi blocks. A few minutes later, Finotto starts again quickly and finds the equalizer. But it’s offside. In the 60th minute everything is in order: Zanon on the right frees the attacker who crosses behind the opposing goalkeeper. It is the third goal of the season for the class of ’92. Pisa no longer seems to find space, Semper has to intervene on Giovane. Then in the 87th minute the Nerazzurri took the lead again thanks to captain Caracciolo. The Carrarese defense falls asleep on the development of a corner: Bleve and Illanes don’t understand each other, the ball reaches the defender who only has to touch it on goal. It is his first league goal. Even Mister Inzaghi runs onto the pitch to celebrate with the players. Immediately afterwards Lind comes very close to making it 3-1, the Danish attacker’s header lands on the crossbar. It ends like this, Pisa remains undefeated at the Arena Garibaldi and rises to 46 points. Calabro’s team stops at 27 and is chasing the playoff zone.
