Serie A: Ex-Bierhoff-Klub has to be in quarantine

After numerous corona cases, Italian authorities have ordered the Udinese Calcio team to quarantine. The former club of DFB director Oliver Bierhoff cannot compete in Serie A for the time being.

The Italian first division soccer club Udinese Calcio was quarantined by the local health authority after several corona cases. From January 5th to 9th, no team activities with direct contact may be carried out.

The former club of national team director Oliver Bierhoff will therefore not be able to play the Serie A game planned on Thursday at Fiorentina, nor the one against Atalanta Bergamo on Sunday.

Ribéry-Klub cannot play either

Even US Salernitana around ex-Bayern star Franck Ribéry cannot play the game against FC Venice originally scheduled for Thursday.

After a wave of corona infections, 25 players and supervisors are now in quarantine at the club.
