Milan (AP) – The change of national soccer player Robin Gosens from the Italian first division club Atalanta Bergamo to champions Inter Milan is perfect.

The winger arrived in Milan for a medical check on Thursday, video footage showed. In the evening, the club confirmed the move: “FC Internazionale Milan announces that they have reached an agreement with Atalanta to acquire Robin Gosens.” The German comes on loan with the obligation to buy if “certain conditions” exist, it said.

Italian media had previously quoted a Gosens advisor as saying that the transfer had been decided. Accordingly, the German will initially be loaned out until the end of the season, followed by a permanent commitment until the 2025/26 season. Inter paid a fixed transfer fee of 22 million euros for the professional from Emmerich am Rhein, plus 3 million euros in bonuses, writes the “Gazzetta dello Sport”.

Gosens is currently recovering from a hamstring injury he sustained in September 2021. He should be able to play again in February. In addition to Inter Milan, Premier League club Newcastle United were also interested in Gosens. He came to Bergamo in the Italian Serie A in 2017 from Heracles Almelo from the Netherlands. Since then he has played more than 150 games there and scored 29 goals.
