Sergio Ramos and an airline have a public battle. In social networks, the professional reacts to a provocative comment with irony.
Sergio Ramos showed an unusual side of himself with the publication of his first own song – and attracted a lot of attention. On August 31, the title “Cibeles” appeared, a musical review of his time at Real Madrid between 2005 and 2021. The name refers to the Fuente de Cibeles square in Madrid, which has great symbolic importance for the club: Real traditionally celebrates its greatest triumph there.
Numerous reactions gathered under the song – many of them critically. The quality of the play and the singing of the former central defender were smiled at in social media. An unusual player also mixed among the mockers: the Irish low -cost airline Ryanair.
On September 1st, the company published an ironic reaction to Ramos’ music debut on Platform X: “Petition to ban this song in our aircraft.” The contribution spread rapidly. Within a few days, the post counted over 4.5 million views and more than 15,500 likes.
The counterattack of the footballer was not long in coming. On September 4, Ramos replied on the same channel – also with a joke. He wrote: “But have you already installed loudspeakers in your aircraft? I borrow my loudspeaker if you need it.”
In parallel to his musical premiere, Ramos is still active in sports. Since February 2025, the 39-year-old has been under contract with the Mexican Club CF Monterrey. There he is not only a regular player, but also leads the team on the field as a captain. He scored six goals in 22 missions so far.
Ramos celebrated the greatest success of his career at Real Madrid, where he won the Champions League four times. With the Spanish national team, he became European champion in 2008 and 2012 and 2010.
