Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen: now the Mexican shock is talking

According to Sergio Perez, Verstappen’s Brazilian GP trick was discussed right away on Sunday.

Red Bull driver Sergio Perez the team mate opened his verbal coffin Max Verstappen’s from a prank.

Perez commented on the incident on his Instagram account late Monday night, but only barely.

– We discussed everything with Max and the team yesterday (ed. note on Sunday). We keep everything internal. The matter is already behind us, and we will continue to work as the great stable that we have been until now, Perez wrote.

Verstappen vented his frustration on his teammate at the Brazilian GP on Sunday. The Dutch driver, who secured the world championship, had no chance of winning the race. He still didn’t let Perez pass on the last lap, even though Red Bull ordered it.

The extra points would have been important for Perez, as he is fighting for second place in the World Series.

– I already told you last time. You don’t ask me that, okay? Is it clear? I gave my reasons then, and I stand by them, Verstappen rattled into the team radio.

– He showed who he really is, Perez said.

Verstappen’s trick was considered outrageous, as the Mexican driver has helped him numerous times. Perez played a big role when Verstappen won the world championship in the final race of last season.

The May race weekend in Monaco has been set as the starting point for the skirmish between the drivers. After the race in Brazil, the Dutch media made the claim that Perez had crashed in qualifying on purpose to benefit at the expense of his teammate.

Red Bull has not commented on the claims.

Team manager Christian Horner however, said in Brazil that the drivers have slapped their hand.

Verstappen was sixth in the race. Perez finished seventh.

– What a day… The place in the trophy should have been secured, but we lacked speed. Everything got complicated after the safety car, Perez wrote.
