Russia is ready for negotiations with Ukraine at any moment when the Armed Forces of Ukraine lay down their arms. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a press conference after talks with the foreign ministers of the DPR and LPR.
“We are ready for negotiations, at any moment, as soon as the armed forces of Ukraine respond to the call of our president, stop resisting, lay down their arms, no one is going to attack them, let them return to their families. And we will give the Ukrainian people the opportunity to determine their fate together,” Lavrov said.
Lavrov said that Zelensky missed opportunities to discuss security
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said on the morning of February 25 that he was ready to negotiate with Russia on the neutral status of the country, indicating that in this case Kiev should receive security guarantees.
