In men’s singles, 4th seeded Norwegian Casper Ruud defeated French athlete Laurent Lokoli 6-1, 5-7, 6-4 and 6-3 in sets 3-1 and advanced to the next round.

5th seeded French athlete Caroline Garcia in women’s singles beat her US rival Katie Volynets 2-0 with 6-4 and 6-3 sets and advanced to the 2nd round.
