C‘This is a day a year when Italy invites us to stop and look beyond the horizon. It is the Day of the panoramaappointment that since 2014 the YOU DO – ETS Italian Environment Fundtogether with Zegna Foundationdedicates to the discovery of the widespread beauty of our country. The 2025 edition, scheduled for Sunday 7 Septembermarks the twelfth year of a journey that combines culture, nature and memory.
Day of the Panorama Fai: a mosaic of wonders
This year will be 16 places involved in nine Italian regionsfrom medieval castles to marine abbeys, from historic villas to angles of unspoiled nature. The public will be able to choose between the hills of Bergamo, the Ligurian cliffs of Lerici and Levantothe Sardinian Saline, the poetic landscapes of Recanati or the timeless views of the Aosta Valley. To complete the picture, The Oasis Zegna in Trivero Valdilanagreat environmental and social project wanted by Ermenegildo Zegna and sponsored by FAI.
The landscape as identity
It is not just a matter of aesthetic beauty: The landscape is identity, memory and future. It is the legacy that past generations have left and that we have the task of guarding. As the Fai recalls, A panorama is not only made of lines and colors: It is also a set of sensations, perfumes, sounds and memories that transform it into a “sensitive landscape”, capable of evoking personal and collective emotions.

A program for everyone
The day will be a succession of immersive experiences and activities: from walks between vegetable gardens and gardens, At Trekking at sunset; from the kajak or mask excursions and fins, to concerts at dawn and artistic workshops; from guided tours to landscape stories and even a “treasure hunt” for the little ones. A real calendar designed for those who want to observe from afar and for those who want to explore closely, following naturalistic and historical itineraries.
Day of the Panorama Fai: three experiences not to be missed
Among the many proposals, certainly, the Delba concert at the Colle dell’All of Finito in Recanati (MC), with special awakening, between classical music and Leopardian poetry, immersed in the same landscape that inspired the most famous idyll of our literature, is one of the most suggestive. Rich in emotions, too The walk to Podere Lovara, in Levanto (SP): a path between sea and nature, along the path that connects Monterosso to Levanto, with a stop at sunset for an aperitif sea view and visit to the farm recovered from FAI. A third, equally intense, is The marine excursion to the bay of Ieranto In Massa Lubrense (NA): after a panoramic trek, the experience continues in water, with mask, fins or kajak to explore caves and seabed of the protected marine area of Punta Campanella.
