The name of Martin Migueles He burst onto the Argentine media scene when he was identified as Wanda Nara’s new partner. But behind the label of “boyfriend of”, Migueles carries a profile that combines businesses that are difficult to trace, complex business links and growing judicial attention that places him under the public scrutiny.
He presents himself as a businessman and personal trainer, residing in gated communities with high purchasing power and regular circulation in financial and real estate areas. His fortune, however, does not have a clearly documented origin, nor does his work activity. According to journalistic reconstructions, he would have participated in companies linked to financial operations, exchange houses and capital movements that today form part of ongoing investigations. His lifestyle—frequent travel, property, and luxury consumption—contrasts with the scant information that exists in his name. In this context, it emerged that he has an adult daughter and a son whom he recognized after a DNA analysis.
In recent weeks, their situation became more delicate when it became known that Judge María Servini ordered raids on various firms linked to a case with referrals to the AFA. In this context, the name of Elías Piccirillo appears, ex-husband of Jesica Cirio, currently detained under house arrest, with whom Migueles would have had a previous relationship, both personal and commercial. Justice is trying to determine if there was participation in schemes for access to foreign currency at official value, use of corporate structures, possible diversions of funds and what the role of each person would have been in these maneuvers.
The principle of innocence governs. Migueles has not been charged so far, although he appears as a person of interest in different sections of the file. The secrecy of its surroundings and the absence of public statements contribute to deepening the climate of mystery.
In parallel to this judicial front, the relationship with Wanda Nara began to crack until it reached a definitive break. After a few months together and after a vacation marked by rumors of infidelity, tensions with the press and uncomfortable episodes, the host decided to end the relationship. As revealed by journalist Juan Etchegoyen, the decision was exclusively Wanda’s, tired of what they defined as “a combo” of situations: persistent versions of infidelity, a marked cholulism – “he loves famous people” – and the growing weight of the judicial problems surrounding Migueles. In addition, the host would have become aware of an episode that she considered “there was no turning back” and that ended up breaking up the relationship.
In that context, Wanda would have begun to feel that Migueles was more interested in what she represents publicly than in a genuine bond. The feeling of having been used and the tense encounter between Migueles and journalist Gustavo Descalzi in Punta del Este ended up speeding up the decision. Although none of the protagonists gave public explanations, those around them assure that the breakup was final.
On social networks, Migueles maintains a strikingly austere profile. Until a few days ago, for months, on Instagram I only followed Wanda and four of her five children, a gesture that many interpreted as a staging designed to reinforce the link with the media rather than to show one’s own personal or professional life. He also currently follows a small group of family members.
Its sudden emergence and lack of concrete public antecedents inevitably evoke the media hurricane that was the Cirio-Piccirillo marriage, which ended in divorce and prison. Unlike Piccirillo, however, Migueles was not empathetic towards the world of entertainment: his public profile appeared rather quarrelsome and authoritarian, with episodes of tension before the press.
Faced with media pressure to know who this opaque character who entered Wanda’s life really is, the host responded days ago with a post in X that she later deleted, in which she stated: “I have 24 centimeters of reasons to be more relaxed.”
Thus, Migueles emerges as a new uncomfortable character within the Wanda universe. But while the relationship was left behind, the investigations continue and his name stops being a simple sentimental anecdote to fuel increasingly uncomfortable questions.
