Sara crosses François in a parking lot and it’s over: «Here he comes back». Painfully reviving is the loving feeling that Claire Denis still puts under the magnifying glass. And again, after Love according to Isabelle (2017), forms an alliance with Christine Angot (the film, Silver Bear at the Berlinale, is inspired by the novel A tournant de la vie).

He had shown us, in the opening, Sara happy on vacation with Jean in a commercial about conjugal love, but the first cracks were not slow to open. The words then become weapons and it is the weakest part of the film. Which betrays the beautiful original title: “with implacable love”.
