Sensation in Europa League group Feyenoord: Lazio humiliated by FC Midtjylland | European football

Where Feyenoord won with big numbers from Sturm Graz, in the same Europa League group Lazio received a merciless beating from FC Midtjylland at the same time. The Danish club won with no less than 5-1 against the team that left Feyenoord without a chance last week (4-2).

Feyenoord had little to say in Rome last week and eventually limited the damage against Lazio in the second half. FC Midtjylland imposed the will in Denmark on the Roman formation of Maurizio Sarri. At halftime it was already 2-0 for the Danes thanks to goals from Brazilian Paulinho and Sory Kaba, attacker from Guinea.

Things didn’t get much better for Lazio after seven minutes into the second half when Evander converted a penalty. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic made the 3-1 in the 57th minute, four minutes after his substitute. However, that turned out to be nothing more than an honorary hit.

In the 67th and 72nd minute, Gustav Isaksen and Erik Sviatchenko made it 4-1 and 5-1, which means that Feyenoord are now all teams in Group F of the Europa League on three points. FC Midtjylland lost 1-0 to Sturm Graz last week. Feyenoord leads the group with the best goal difference (8-4). Then follow FC Midtjylland (5-2), Lazio (5-7) and Sturm Graz (1-6).

On October 6 FC Midtjylland will play at home against Feyenoord, Lazio will then visit Sturm Graz in Austria.
