Army sources in Kiev claim that the chief of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, is in Izyum. As commander-in-chief, he coordinates the offensive in the Donbas. Moscow did not respond to the report about the attack in Izyum and the possible whereabouts of Gerasimov.

Grenades

Recently there have been regular shelling in that area, according to Moscow they come from Ukraine. At the beginning of April, an oil storage facility in Belgorod was already bombed. Grenades also flew at targets in Kursk and Bryansk on Saturday. Kiev dismisses the news as “Russian provocation” to have an excuse to launch missiles.

In the Kursk region, a railway bridge also partially collapsed. The governor stated in a video message that sabotage is assumed. According to the Russian state news agency RIA Novosti, an investigation has been launched to trace the perpetrators and bring them to justice. They struck near Suja, near the Ukrainian border, on the railway to Sosnovi Bor.
