Russia will need time to prepare and respond to the ideas of the United States and NATO, which were sent as a response to Russian proposals for security guarantees. This was announced to RBC by Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs.
“This is not a question of a few days, on the contrary, preparation is needed. How long it might take, I have no idea. It is necessary to consult, including with China. Surely they [главы государств] will discuss this topic, but this will not be a consultation on our response, but simply on the current situation, ”said the senator.
According to Vice Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev, US comments on responses to Russian proposals indicate the possibility of dialogue.
“Three spontaneous sensations from today’s answers (the content of which, I emphasize, I know only from the comments): 1. There are topics for conversation with the United States. 2. NATO with their answer copying the US answer is not relevant. 3. Ukraine, repeatedly mentioned, nevertheless smokes on the sidelines, is not relevant, – wrote senator on Facebook.
