In the “Friends Keep Secrets” podcast, Gomez solves one of Swift’s biggest fan mysteries and creates the next viral moment with a foot kiss.
Selena Gomez is a guest on the podcast of her husband Benny Blanco and their mutual friends Lil Dicky and his partner Kristin Batalucco for the second episode.
The first episode of “Friends Keep Secrets” went viral – not because of the deep conversations, but because of Benny Blanco’s dirty feet. Their appearance was hotly debated on social media, memes circulated, people mocked and analyzed every detail.
Now the second episode is causing a stir again – and this time it is Selena Gomez herself who delivers the next viral moment: a spontaneous kiss on Blanco’s feet.
A kiss that keeps the internet busy
The mood is relaxed, you sit together relaxed in the living room setting. While the three hosts sit on the sofa, the Disney star sits on the floor in front of them. Blanco’s feet are – quite naturally – on the table. In the middle of the conversation, the actress suddenly leans forward and kisses her husband’s feet.
Blanco reacts with surprise and asks if she likes it. Gomez counters playfully, slapping his leg and warning him not to make it “a moment.” But Blanco can hardly hide his joy. He liked it, he says with emotion: “I love you so much.” Later he raves about his wife again, describing her as an independent, independent personality who should shine. “Seeing her kiss my toe really made my day,” he adds with a laugh.
After the first podcast episode, Blanco’s dirty feet were a topic on the internet. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, he pointedly defended them, removing his shoe and sock and confidently declaring, “I have great feet. Someone zoom in on my foot! Look at that!”
Four children and great role models
Aside from the viral foot moments, the podcast is about much more personal topics. The discussion group consists of two couples: Blanco and Gomez as well as Lil Dicky and his partner. In this constellation they talk openly about marriage, future plans and desires to have children.
Selena Gomez reveals she wants four children. She was inspired by a character by Diane Keaton in the film “The Stone Family” – in particular a scene at the dinner table had a lasting impact on her image of family.
Blanco’s question to the women whether they thought the other man was “hot” caused laughter – after all, in his opinion, he and Lil Dicky looked identical. The partners object, amused.
Taylor Swift, a painting and “Dorothea”
Gomez’s long-standing friendship with Taylor Swift is also discussed. Blanco talks about a painting that his wife brought into their apartment. At first he assumed it was a work by Basquiat or a similar art great. In fact, Swift painted the picture herself and gave it to her on her 30th birthday.
The actress also reveals that Swift is passionate about baking sourdough bread and jokingly calls the process “Loaf Story” – a tongue-in-cheek reference to her hit “Love Story.”
Another revelation is attracting additional attention: the Swift song “Dorothea” was written about Gomez. There had been speculation among fans for a long time as to whether the song was dedicated to a friend of hers or whether it told a fictional story – now this question seems to have been answered.
The unreleased song “Family” also addresses the close connection between Swift and Gomez. The two met when they were teenagers when they were 15 and 18 years old and have been close friends for 17 years now.
