Seduce & Escape: plot and previews of the film 2 January on Rai 1 and RaiPlay
Alice (Mariana Lacellotti) is a single mother trying to get by as best she can in the quiet province of Calabria, raising her daughter Diana (Elena Sophia Senise), a bright and lively little girl, much more mature than her age, alone. Diana’s father, Max (Andrea Montovoli) is a hardened con man who never wanted to recognize her and which has disappeared into thin air for almost ten years. One day, suddenly, he reappears with the claim of obtaining custody of the little girlfor an economic statement.
Knowing the man well, Alice makes an impulsive decision: runs away with her daughter and takes refuge in the most isolated place he knows, the tiny perched village of Fiumefreddo Bruzio, where his uncle Calogero (Nino Frassica), a gruff and solitary former actor, lives. The welcome initially isn’t the warmest: Calogero doesn’t like company and even less children. However, with the help of his daughter Mati (Chiara Tron), Alice and Diana manage to temporarily settle in with him.

Alice starts frequenting the bar run by her cousin, and together with Mati she develops a rather bold plan: defraud wealthy men along the beaches of the Ionian coast. A way to get revenge on Max and, above all, to save the money needed to escape to Norway. He chooses them among those apparently stupider, more superficial, to put it in a word: he looks for the “macho”.
Among these stands out Leonardo (Francesco Arca): handsome, rich, with a surfboard under his arm and the air of a classic Don Juan. But behind the playboy appearance hides a kind, deep and very sweet man. Will Alice fall in love with him?

A woman who faces life with courage and determination despite having been abandoned by Max (Andrea Montovoli), the father of her daughter Diana. Alice has learned to fend for herself: she works in a convenience store and dreams of a better future for Diana. Behind his armor hides a fragility linked to the fear of trusting others, especially menfor her all manipulators.

Leonardo (Francesco Arca) will be the man who manages to melt Alice’s heart. He presents himself as the opposite of the men Alice has met in the past: he is a successful entrepreneur, a kind, attentive person and willing to help others, without ulterior motives.
Calogero, Alice’s uncle, played by Nino Frassica, is a former theater actor who lives isolated in his world of memories. He appears gruff, intractable and misanthropic, but the arrival of his niece Diana (Elena Sophia Senise) rekindles a spark in him. Mati (Chiara Tron) is Alice’s cousin and Calogero’s daughter, a practical, empathetic and down-to-earth woman. He runs a bar in the small town of Fiumefreddo and is Alice’s main emotional support.
