The Macris usually organize meals in the open air, in the garden, under a tent, where they receive personalities from power, entertainment and sports such as Daniel Angeli, former president of Boca; put on a show like the actor Martin Sefeld, adding to the list controversial political personalities such as his friend and former head of Intelligence, Gustavo Arribas. And, more than once, the gatherings take place between armored cars, security personnel, barbecue, loin, offal and some Salta wine; in a property that has three mansions, a tennis court, a paddle court and two soccer fields.
In “Los Abrojos”, the Macris spend weekends in the house that was almost completely decorated by Juliana Awadalocated a few meters from the main house, which in life occupied Franco Macri.
But Macri’s paradise was not immune to intrusion attempts. In 2018, four people tried to enter, alleging that one of them was the “goddaughter” of the then President and, since you couldn’t access, they left between insults and threats. But minutes later they were captured. Although, in reality, it was a minor incident.
Facing the 2023 elections, and before a Together for Change plagued by inmates, Macri chooses the tranquility that “Los Abrojos” to make decisions. And between those four walls, a new attempt to occupy Rivadavia’s chair will take place (or not).
