The son of holiday park millionaire and Mass is cashierstar Peter Gillis was severely beaten and tied up during the robbery in his chalet at the Prinsenmeer holiday park. In the search for the perpetrators, the police showed surveillance images in, among other places, Investigation Requested† Eleven tips came in at the end of March and four men turned themselves in to the police. They recognized themselves in the images, but turned out to have nothing to do with the robbery. They were fans of the reality show Gillis family: Mass is Cashier who stayed at the campsite.
In April, a 39-year-old man from Den Bosch was arrested for suspected involvement in the robbery. The police found the suspect after his DNA was found during the forensic examination. A second suspect has now also been arrested. The investigation into the Mark Gillis robbery is still ongoing. Police are still looking for a third suspect.
